Board meetings are held on the 2nd Tuesday, every other month beginning January 2024 from 12 noon to 1 p.m., at the Chamber office, 220 W. Colorado St., La Grange Tx 78945.
- 6 meetings per year only (Jan, Mar, May, Jul, Sept, Nov)
The Board of Directors is responsible for collectively guiding the DIRECTION of the La Grange Area Chamber of Commerce. The Board governs, develops policy, and strategically plans for success. All activities should be performed within the framework of the vision, mission, goals, and guiding principles. The primary functions of the Board are Governance, Develop Policy and Positions, Strategic Planning, and Fiduciary Responsibility.
Responsibilities of a Board Member:
- Determine the organization’s vision and mission.
- Select the Operation’s Director.
- Support the Operation’s Director and assess performance.
- Ensure effective organizational planning.
- Manage resources effectively; determine.
- Monitor, and strengthen programs and service.
- Enhance the organization’s public image.
- Ensure legal and ethical integrity and maintain accountability.
- Recruit and orient new board members.
